The Korean Society for Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities was established in 1954 for the purpose of encouraging persons with disabilities to participate in the society, and to create an atmosphere where they are treated with dignity and respect on an equal basis with others. We want to ensure the rights and social inclusion of persons with disabilities and strive to achieve the goals.
RI Korea, a committee of rehabilitation experts, run by KSRPD, plays a leading role in taking active part in disability welfare, presenting new policy alternatives for persons with disabilities with emphasis on empowerment of persons with disabilities, activists and? rehabilitation experts.
In addition, RI Korea has analyzed the needs of persons with disabilities and undertaken policy development and solidarity activities to promote? their rights and interests and social participation. It also holds rehabilitation conference and publishes books to provides opportunities to share knowledge and experiences on disability welfare at home and abroad.
